Mike Jones, “Jonesie”, is a filmmaker whose work is beautiful and unique, often capturing real people and authentic stories. Whether scripted or documentary he draws the best performances out of talent and searches for the best stages for them to perform.
Jonesie’s appreciation of storytelling stems in part from beginning his career in broadcast news, working for ABC, where he won two Emmy awards and a APTRA award for his news journalism. Upon moving to Hollywood he assisted Tony Scott during Man on Fire, Domino, and Deja Vu, where he learned hands on the process of filmmaking and working with actors. From here Jonesie built a career in the camera department working through the ranks learning from some of the great cameramen, Paul Cameron and Dion Beebe.
Jonesie segued into directing by filming commercials, documentaries, and shooting 2nd units on Hollywood movies.
